Jingshan Park (景山公园)
Jingshan Park, directly north of the Forbidden City in the heart of Beijing, is a beautifully landscaped garden known for its perfect alignment with the central axis of the Forbidden City. The park's main feature is the artificial hill, Jingshan, which was constructed from the soil excavated to build the moat of the Forbidden City and offers panoramic views of Beijing.
Highlights of Jingshan Park
The peak of Jingshan is the highest point in the center of Beijing. From here, visitors can enjoy a stunning bird's-eye view of the Forbidden City and the surrounding cityscape. The park is also famous for its five individual peaks, each topped with a unique pavilion.
